Coron - Apo Reef

This itinerary offers the unique experience to mix beautiful reef diving with fantastic World War II wreck dives. Apo Reef is one of the most famous diving areas around Mindoro and Pandan islands. In fact many would claim it to be the best in all of Asia.

Cruise itinerary

Dive day 1 and 2: Apo Reef. Apo reef is the second largest contiguous coral reef in the world. It has a shallow lagoon that is surrounded by mangrove forest, which serves a source of food, nursery and spawning ground of several coastal and marine species of fauna and a sanctuary of birds.

Dive day 3: Dimaqia Island. This meandering reef features different species of tunicates, sponges, sea stars, turtles and cuttlefish. We might also get the opportunity to see the giant clamp that is located 12 meters depth. We visit the Japanese freighter that measures about 152 m long and lies almost upright.

Dive day 4, 5 & 6. Wrecks of Coron. We visit wrecks like the Japanese Irako located in the mouth of Coron Bay, the Kogyu Maru that offers a site with a wide range of corals and hideouts for many types of fish and the warship Akitsushima that is laying on her starboard side, after being hit amidships and sinking almost immediately.
